June HARRIS – Painter
June Harris refers to herself as a painter of country things. Her work in oil and watercolour covers a broad array of subjects; landscapes filled with wildflowers and ancient trees, still life such as a single flower lending life to a glass bowl.
Initially June was a ceramist creating commissioned works for numerous clients who frequented her shop. Her ceramic designs evolved to paintings and a new career was born as a fine artist.
As a self taught artist, June has been painting for over thirty years in her Trillium Hill Studio. The result has been successful exhibitions in galleries, plus juried shows throughout Ontario. Her warm, colourful paintings can be found in many private collections throughout Canada, England, Holland, Portugal, South America and the United States.
